Mrs Fitzwillam wears a dark green off-the-shoulder dress and a fur wrap. She holds a white mask in her right hand.
Wife of the actor Edward Fitzwilliam (1788-1852), Mrs Fitzwilliam acted with great success over more than 40 years at the Olympic and Surrey under Thomas John Dibdin, and at Drury Lane, the Haymarket and the Adelphi. Her son Edward Francis Fitzwilliam was musical director at the Lyceum under Madame Vestris and at the Haymarket in the 1840s.
