Yolanda Sonnabend, known chiefly for her theatre stage and costume designs, and Sir Kenneth MacMillan (a british ballet dancer and choreographer) had a long working relationship. MacMillan and Sonnabend worked together to create his new vision for Ballet. She first worked with Macmillan in 1963, and then worked with him throughout the 1970's and 1980's.
