This photographic postcard depicts George Grossmith, in a top had and pale knee length coat, with white gloves holding a cigarette. His arms are open and is lifting one leg as if to step out. Grossmith played the Hon. Hughie Pierrepoint ( an amateur criminal) in the musical comedy show 'Our Miss Gibbs'. It opened at the Gaiety Theatre in 1909 and was very popular.
