Scope and content
Disbound printed pamphlet: 'Mr. Mathews's memorandum-book, of peculiarities, characters, and manners, collected by him in his various trips' (London: Duncombe, [1825?]). At the head of the title page: 'Second edition. Duncombe's edition.' The pamphlet has 24 pages, including the title page and verso. It retains its hand-coloured frontispiece showing 'Mr. Mathews in the characters of his memorandum-book', but this is mutilated with the loss of the top left corner.
