Ducrow was an Equestrian Performer of Asterleys Amphitheatre. 'Vining' is detailed in an entry for the Vining family in the ODNB, which discusses his acting career and mentions a brief period as 'stage manager' at the Haymarket. 'Royal Amphitheatre / Westminster Bridge, Sept. 30, 1832: 'My dear Sir / As I am about to rest myself for a few weeks, I wish my stud and part of my establishment to be employed - do you think that Mazeppa with the wardrobe, banners etc. horses equestrians, also Sir Walter Scott's "Lochinvar", Timour and other of our pieces that you might fix all together with some other attraction. ...' COntinues for 2 two sides. Includes an offer of a share in the receipts, proposing a timescale. Envelope addressed to: F. Vining Esq. / Stage Door / Theatre Royal / Brighton [crossed through] Haymarket.
