Manuscript. Letter: 'Sir / I lament to say Mr. Munden is extremely unwell with a violent cold & sore throat which he supposes he caught last night and is unable to leave his bed this morning / ... Frances Munden' ... Dated 'Bernard Street / Friday morning'. - Sent as a note 'Mr. Russell / To be deliverd immediately'. - Marked in pencil: 'The Stage Door'. - 'Mr. Russell' = Samuel Thomas Russell (c. 1770-1845) who was stage-manager at Drury Lane from 1819-22. - As to the date: Munden moved from Kentish Town before 1820 and resided at Bernard Street until his death, Russell moved on to Brighton in 1822
