Kensington / Sunday / Dear Lil ...'. - Miss Caffin worked in London making costumes for the theatre; the letter includes sketches for head-dresses for characters (for Miss G. Ward and Miss Olga Nethersole in a production of 'King Arthur' at the Lyceum to designs by Burne Jones; and she refers further to Ellen Terry and her gift of one of the beetle's wings from her costume of Lady Macbeth. In envelope addressed: 'Miss Tomlin / Thorpe Villa / Chester' - crossed through in blue crayon; re-addressed: 'Rathlege / Woolacombe / Nth Devon'. - Post-stamped: 'Chester SP 10 / 94'; inscribed on verso: 'Answered.
