Manuscript of 'The Money-Spinner' by Sir Arthur Wing Pinero, two volumes. each upper cover is inscribed 'Return to E. A. Elton'. Dated c1900. The manusxcript sets the play in London, although the text first published in 1900 sets it in Rouen.
The manuscript appears to be an unannotated fair copy and includes a plan of the stage layout at the beginning of act 1.
'The Money Spinner' was first performed at the Prince's Theatre in Manchester, 5 November 1880. it was first performed in London, at the St. James's Theatre, 8 January 1881.
