Scope and content
Diary in a single volume bound in plain brown leather, with decorative blind-tooling but no lettering on the outside. Inscription on the inside of the front cover reads 'January 1st 1810 ' N9 Tavistock Row / Covent Garden / Saml De Wilde'. Entries run from 'Monday January 1st 1810' to 'Tuesday 31st [December 1811]'. For some entries dates have been entered but no other information. The last completed entry is 'Sunday 29 [December 1811]'. Entries provide details of sittings, work on individual portraits and expenses, among other details.
