Document known as the 'Vandenbende Breviat', a lawyer's brief or outline for a case between John Vandenbende and Ralph Davenant, treasurer of the United Company, which was to be tried at the Guildhall, London on 10 May 1694. On 1 November 1693, Davenant had admitted owing £200 to Vandenbende but had refused to pay him. Vandenbende was trying to recover what was owed to him. The document provides information about shares in the Duke's Company, the United Company and the Dorset Garden Theatre.
