Biography
American actor, principally at Burton's Theatre, New York, née Elizabeth Jackson (d. 1899). First married to William West, she was also known as Lizzie Weston. She was then married to Adolphus "Dolly" Davenport Hoyt (A.H. Davenport) in 1853, and they divorced in 1857 (see Brief Chronicles, William Winter, Pubications of the Dunlap Society, No. 7, 1889). In 1858 she became the second wife of Charles James Mathews following the death of his first wife, Lucia Elizabeth Vestris, in 1856.
