Biography
Russian (later Bulgarian) stage actor and theatre director. He was invited personally by Konstantin Stanislavski to join the Moscow Art Theatre in 1907. In 1913, he co-founded the private Drama School ‘School of the Three Nikolais’, which became the MAT Second Studio in 1916. In 1919, Massalitinov was part of the Kachalov Troupe and from 1925, he was associated with the Ivan Vazov National Theatre in Bulgaria.
