Biography
Russian stage actor. He joined the Moscow Art Theatre in 1898. In 1906 he became the head of the Adashev Drama Courses. These were immensely popular and were seen as a preliminary school for actors willing to join MAT. However, these were cancelled in 1913 as Adashev was accused of "violating the norms of morality" and forced to leave Moscow.
