Biography
Russian comic actor. He joined the Alexandrinksy theatre in 1875, and played a variety of roles In operas, and ballet as well as plays. Among his best remembered roles are Varravin (The Case by A. V. Sukhovo-Kobylin), and Yaichnitsa (The Marriage by N. V. Gogol).
