Biography
Russian stage actress. She joined the Moscow Art Theatre in 1900, which was founded by Konstantin Stanislavski and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko. She was celebrated for her performances as Anisya in Leo Tolstoy's The Power of Darkness and as Snegireva in the stage adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky's The Brothers Karamazov.
