Biography
Maud Tree was an Englilsh actress and the wife of Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree. Their union was a theatrical as well as a personal partnership. In addition to acting under her husband's direction, Maud Tree advised him on many of his projects and productions. The professional success of their partnership gained them entrée into London's élite society: the Tree family becaming acquainted with some of the most socially prominent and politically powerful members of Edwardian society
