Biography
Born Mary Catherine Bolton in 1790, she made her London debut as Polly in “The Beggar’s Opera” on 8 October 1801. She acted as Miss Bolton until 1813, when she married Edward, 2nd Baron of Thurlow (1781-1829), who is noticed in the DNB. Lady Thurlow died on 28 September 1830. In addition to G0080 by De Wilde, there are portraits of her as Ophelia, Eliza and Princess Badroulboudour in “Aladdin”. (“Era Almanac” 1879)
