Biography
Born in Brighton on 16 September 1858, the youngest son of Dr Alfred Hall and his wife Julia Elizabeth (née Sebright), he was educated at Rugby and at St John’s College, Cambridge (BA 1882). He became a barrister, Inner Temple, 1883, and a Bencher, 1910. A distinguished barrister, Marshall-Hall practised in London and in the South-Eastern and Sussex Sessions. He was knighted in 1917. He became a member of the Garrick Club in 1891 and died on 24 February 1927.
