Lewis Waller was an actor and theatre manager, born in Spain from British parents. Waller worked with John Hare and Wilson Barrett, but also with Herbert Beerbohm Tree before establishing his own company in 1893. From 1897 to 1900 Waller worked again with Herbert Beerbohm Tree's company, but continued to tour as well. From 1900 onwards Waller acted mostly under his own management at the Imperial Theatre from 1903 to 1906 and later at the Lyric Theatre from 1906 to 1910. Waller also toured in the USA, Canada, and Australia.
