Provenance

Purchased from Stockspring Antiques in 2014.

Mug with a portrait of Shakespeare printed in black, and Comedy and Tragedy on the reverse. The engraving is attributed to Robert Hancock, but no signed example is recorded. The original copper plate survives at the Worcester Factory.
