Other materials
The body of the walking stick is made of a light wood, possibly cane or bamboo. The bottom has been capped in horn and the top knop is made of gold, chased and raised.
Inscription/signature
Written along the bottom of the Gold knop. "From Squire Bancroft to Lord Rowton from whom recieved 1897, at whose death 1903 it was returned".

Bought in 2017 by the Works of Art Committee by a member for £600.
