The original painting by Hogarth, 1745 oil on canvas 190.5x250.8, was commissioned by by Lord Duncombe of Duncombe Park, Yorkshire and was inherited by the earls of Feversham. It is now in the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, after being aquired from Agnew's in 1956 [see also H0040, P0499 and PM0213]
