Colour lithograph print of Mr. Noel Coward who wrote the three-act operetta 'Bitter Sweet' (1929). The print is from 'Heroes and Heroines of "Bitter Sweet"'' by Max Beerbohm, which contains four other colour plates depicting the play's cast. Charles Cochran produced it at Her Majesty's Theatre, London where it ran for 967 performances and then in 1933, it was made into a film version. The print depicts Coward in a fur-lined black-belted jacket, gloves, and holding a cigarette in his right hand. It features an Art Deco design as the backdrop with spotlights and lightning bolts.
