Colour lithograph print of Georges Metaxa as Carl Linden in Noël Coward's three-act operetta 'Bitter Sweet' (1929). The print is from 'Heroes and Heroines of "Bitter Sweet"'' by Max Beerbohm, which contains four other colour plates of the play's cast. Charles Cochran produced the operetta at Her Majesty's Theatre, London where it ran for 967 performances and then in 1933, it was made into a film version. The print depicts Metaxa in a black suit and slicked back hair, he is slightly hunched over and is in a room with a patterned carpet and piano. This is part of a set of six prints.
