This print depicts the comedian John Lawrence Toole in the character of Paul Pry. He is standing in from of a poster that says: "Gaiety/ Toole" and underneath this is a poster that says: "Once a Week 2d" which is the publication that published this caricature on the 9th of March 1872. Toole holds a pair of spectacles in one hand and his umbrella and top hat in another. He looks to his left.
