This print depicts John Philip Kemble in character as Penruddock in the play 'The Wheel of Fortune' by Richard Cumberland. Kemble is shown full length wearing riding boots, a long coat and wide brimmed hat. He holds a letter in his hant. Over his shoulder is a riding crop. The print was made after a painting by de Wilde, which is in the Garrick club's collection, see G0378.
