Twopence coloured print of Mr Butler as Caractacus the British Chieftain. Caratacus (or Caratacus and Caractacus), was a 1st-century AD British chieftain of the Catuvellauni tribe, who resisted the Roman conquest of Britain. Butler is shown in a brightly-coloured Roman-inspired costume, he wears a gold crown on his head and holds a sword in his right hand. Published by W. S. Johnson, London.
