Print of a scene from the farce 'One Hour; or, the Carnival Ball: an original burletta, in one act' by Thomas Haynes Bayly and first performed at the Royal Olympic Theatre on 11th January 1836. The scene shows several figures dancing in 19th century carnival costume, Madame Vestris is center, Mr Charles Mathews is to her right and to her left is the Harlequin. The backdrop has an Italianate style-arch, lit by the moon, with a lake, small pockets of land with houses and mountains in the distance. The print was drawn by T. Jones.
At the bottom has been cut off: 'Published by Bell, Removed to No. 28, Craven St., Strand, London. December 1, 1836.'
