This print depicts the comedian John Liston in the character of Lord Grizzle in Henry Fielding's play 'Tom Thumb'. Liston is depicted standing full length, with both his arms outstretched. He wears an 18th century costume consisting of a long grey wig, tricorn hat, long white cravat, a long blue coat, and blue waistcoat with red flowers. He wears brown stockings and black shoes with a buckle. A rapier hangs at his waist.
