This print depicts a portrait of the comedian John Liston as Paul Pry entering into an Oyster shop. On the left stands a lady and a child behind a counter, on the counter is a bucket of oysters, some fresh oysters and some oyster shells. The shop owner is resting a knife on the counter. The child is leaning on the counter with his arms crossed. Behind them both a shelves containing barrels and bottles. Paul Pry is depicted wearing a yellow hat, blue coat and his red and white striped trousers. He has one hand raised in greeting to the shop owner and in the other hand he holds a piece of paper on which is written: "List of Discoveries". He has an umbrella tucked under his arm. In the doorway to the shop there are two advertisment boards for the Diorama, New Surrey Theatre and Vauxhall Gardens. On the right of the image is a table with another bucket of oysters.
