This is a print depicting the actor and comedian George Wild. He was at one time the manager of the Olympic Theatre from 1841-1844. He was famous for roles such as Jolly Dick the Lamplighter, Sixteen Stringed jack and the Artful Dodger. He died in 1856. This print appears to depict him in an imitation piece in the manner of Charles Mathews. It shows that he included an imitation of Liston as Paul Pry in his one man show.
