The reverse has a newspaper page clipping of 'La Belle Assemblée' for July 1820 which contains biographical information on Madame Vestris.
She is shown in half-length wearing a simple short-sleeved Empire dress, a shawl with an embroidered trim round her shoulders, she has a star hairpiece and she holds her necklace in her right hand.
