This is a print depicts the actor and comedian, John Liston. He is depicted standing fulllength, with one hand in his pocket, the other holding a monocle, as if he has just red the placard he is standing by. He wears a dark blue suit, black top hat and black cravat. He stands next to a bollard on which is leaning a placard advertising the play a 'Fish out of Water' with Liston in the character of Sam Savoury at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Behind him in the distance is the Haymarket Theatre.
