Vandenhoff is depicted full length and standing in a house interor with a brocade curtain on the left, decorative fresco behind her and wooden chair to her right. She wears a satin floor-length dress with embellishments, embroidered trim and open sleeves. Her hair is in ringlets, her left hand rests on the chair and she looks slightly off to the side. The image is set within a decorative frame.
