This print depicts the actor William Farren the younger as Periwinkle 'A Bold Stroke for A Wife', by Susanna Centilivre. He is depicted full length, standing legs slightly apart, looking to his left. He holds a pair of spectacles to his eyes, and holds out a belt with the other hand. He waers a a peaked hat, a ruff and doublet, pantaloons and stockings.
