Gravure print depicting actor Edmund Kean as Richard III in Act IV, Scene IV of William Shakespeare's play 'Richard III'. Kean is depicted full length, standing within an architectural backdrop and facing the viewer. He wears an ornately embroidered costume of striped shorts, long sleeved shirt with striped puff sleeves, a fur lined cape, fur-lined and jewelled hat, and slouched boots with spurs. His arms are crossed and he holds a baton in his right hand. The print is accompanied by a page of reviews about Kean's performance as Richard III, 1814.
