This is tinted photographic postcard depicts Marie Studholme as Lady Madcap, she is shown, wearing a large hat, gazing out to her left, holding a dog.
'Lady Madcap' was composed by Paul Rubens and centres on a mischievious Earl's daughter who holds a ball at her father's castle without permisson. It was first performed at the Prince of Wales Theatre in 1904. Marie Studholme took on the role in its revival in 1905 to 1906.
