This photographic postcrd depicts Mary Moore and Sir Charles Wyndham in the play "David Garrick" by Thomas William Robertson. The play was adapted from the French play 'Sullivan', which itself was founded on a German dramatization of a pretend incident in Garrick's life. The play was writtein in 1856 and performed in 1864. Edward Sotheran was the first actor to play the role of David Garrick, though the role eventually became associated with Charles Wyndham.
