This photographic postcard depicts the actors Charles Hayden Coffin and Sybil Arundale in the Edwardian musical comedy, 'The Cigalee; or Sunny Ceylon". It was performed at Daly's Theatre, managed by George Edwardes, in 1904. The play was written by James T. Tanner, although was subject to a court case over plagarism, as a similar play was written by a Captain H.J. Fraser. The play was very popular and rand for 391 performances.
