This photographic postcard depicts the actor manager Fred Terry and his wife, the actress Julia Neilson, in the play 'Henry of Navarre' by William Deverreux. It was first performed at the New Theatre in 1909. Fred Terry and Julia Neilson became known for their sumptuous historical dramas. This postcard depicts a duel between Fred Terry as Henry de Bourbon and A.E. Anson as De Guise. Other cast members look on from the right. Julia Neilson as Marguerite de Valois is shown on the left, leaning on a table in shock.
