This is photographic postcard, depicts the English Shakespearian Actor-Manager, Evelyn Millard as Portia in Shakespear's play 'Julius Caesar'. The play was produced by Herbert Beerbohm Tree at Her Majesty's Theater in 1898. Evelyn Millard had joined Tree's company that same year. She is shown weaing a pale coloured toga, some of the extra fabirc is draped over one arm. In the other she holds a wreath or crown.
