Julia Neilson was the wife of the actor Fred Terry (1863-1933), who was the son of the actors Benjamin and Sarah Terry. She is depicted three-quarter length, standing to the right, wearing a short-sleeved long floaty white dress with flower garlands attached to the low-scoop neckline and the skirt from the waist down.
