Woodburytype photograph depicting actress Dame Madge Kendal by Fradelle & Marshall, published 1876. Madge married actor William Hunter Kendal in 1869. Kendal is depicted half-length, seated to the right, she wears a black square neck dress with white lace trim and black velvet bow, with a necklace on a black velvet ribbon. The verso has an engraving of 'Mrs. Keeley as Robin Hood in Robin Hood & Little John'. Published in the Theatrical Times, July 1846. Mary Anne Goward married comedian Robert Keeley in 1829 and they frequently appeared together on stage.
