Woodburytype photograph of the actress Lilian Adelaide Neilson, by the London Stereoscopic Company, 1880. Number 11 in the third series of 'The Theatre'. She is depicted half length, seated to the right and she wears a long-sleeved buttoned up dark dress with embroidery detail on the cuffs and fastenings, a frill at the neck, and a velvet hat. The photograph is accompanied by four pages of 'The Theatre', dated 1 November 1880, and gives a biographical account of Miss Neilson.
