Photograph depicting the Sarah Siddons Memorial in the chapel of St Andrew at Westminster Abbey. The statue is made of white marble and is larger than life-size (seven feet two inches, with a three foot plinth). The statue was made by sculptor Thomas Campbell in 1845, and it was installed in the Abbey in October 1849. Siddons holds a scroll and the inscription on the base reads: 'Sarah Siddons. Born at Brecon July 5 1755. Died in London June 8 1831.'
