Photograph depicting actor John Parselle possibly in the play 'Glencoe or, the Fate of the Macdonalds' by Thomas Talfourd. He is depicted full length, facing the right and standing in front of a backdrop with an arch and landscape view. He wears a Scottish Highlands costume comprising of a kilt, black jacket, waistcoat, white shirt, black bow tie, knee-length black socks, black shoes, a tam o' shanter bonnet and sporran. A cloak is draped over his chest and left shoulder and he holds a musket in his right hand.
