Carte-de-visite depicting Madge Kendal as Dora and William Hunter Kendal as Captain Beauclerc in 'Diplomacy' at the Prince of Wales Theatre, 1878. They are depicted three-quarter length and sitting on a sofa facing each other. Madge, on the left, wears a long sleeved dress with embroidered details. She rests her hands on William's left hand, who sits on the right and wears a light checked jacket and trousers, with white shirt and polkadot cravat.
