Carte-de-visite depicting Madge Kendal as Dorothy and her husband William Hunter Kendal in 'The Elder Miss Blossom' performed at St James' Theatre, 1898. They are depicted three-quarter length. On the left, Madge kneels and presses her head against William's chest with her eyes closed and William, on the right, stands and looks down at Madge. Madge wears a long-sleeved light-coloured dress with ruffles, and William wears a long dark jacket with dark trousers and white shirt.
