Postcard depicting William Sydney Penley as Lord Fancourt Babberley disguised as Donna Lucia d’Alvadorez, the aunt from Brazil, in the farce 'Charley's Aunt' by Brandon Thomas, which opened at London's Royalty Theatre in December 1892. He is depicted half length and facing the viewer. He wears a dress with large white lace collar, gloves, and hat with floral detail and two long silk strands.
