There is another cast of this bust in the Russell Coates Art Gallery, Bournemouth.

Since it was presented to the Garrick Club in 1907, S0022 has to be a fairly early work by Courteney Pollock (1877-1943). He did not exhibit at the Royal Academy until 1912; he continued to exhibit until 1920 but none of his sitters were theatrical.
